Austin City Limits Music Festival
Oct. 7-9 & 14-16, 2022: Austin City Limits Music Festival
The festival was inspired by the TV show Austin City Limits and was founded in 2002. Austin City Limits Music Festival was a one-weekend event until 2013 when it expanded to two weekends. There are eight stages and over 100 performers and the ACL Eats Food Court provides tons of food and beverage options. There's also a mini-fest for kids, Austin Kiddie Limits, which is free to kids 8 and under.

EnPleinAirTEXAS is one of the top 5 plein air competitions in the country, attracting award-winning artists from around the world. A focus of EnPleinAirTEXAS and the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is to connect the area’s 100 year plein air history with our West Texas community and with artists from around the world, creating an ongoing artistic dialogue that increases the visibility and participation of plein air painting with children, adults, and rural West Texas communities.

The Dallas Festival of the Arts is located in the Kidd Spring Park neighborhood of Dallas. It is a two-day outdoor local art and crafts event with an emphasis on the visual arts. This event will feature fine painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craft persons, glass blowers, jewelers and more! The Festival will also offer visitors the opportunity to view artist demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands-on arts activities, and enjoy festival foods and beverages.

Texas Book Festival

Founded in 1995 by Laura W. Bush, a former librarian and then First Lady of Texas, along with Mary Margaret Farabee and a dedicated group of volunteers, the TBF set out to honor Texas authors, promote the joys of reading, and benefit the state’s public libraries. The first Festival took place in November 1996 and has grown into one of the nation’s premier literary events, connecting authors and readers through year-round, statewide programs that celebrate the culture of literacy, ideas, and imagination.
